Avoid FaceBook Fallout
When you are buying or selling a home, remember to be very careful about the comments you post on FaceBook. You may not realize the damage that seemingly innocent comments can do, and how they may put you at a disadvantage during negotiations.
Many of today's buyers and sellers are very tech-savvy, and are searching for information about the property and the parties involved.
FaceBook comments like, "I really, really want this house!", or "I'll do anything to sell this house before one more thing breaks!" are sure to tip your hand and reveal more than you ever intended.
I once worked with a buyer who found a house she loved, but when she found FaceBook comments the seller made regarding all the property damage by a previous tenant along with photos, she lowered her offering price by $10,000.
Always remember that people are "Googling" you and creeping your FaceBook page.
