Yard Work Has a Way of Piling Up

Yard Work Has a Way of Piling UpYard Work in Melbourne, Florida

This is a photo of trimmed tree branches piled up by the curb for pickup.  It's always a good idea to have trees trimmed before hurricane season.  Removing the excess branches reduces the chances of a tree falling down during a storm and damaging your home.  Since we are already in hurricane season, you should take care of any remaining maintenance now.  Don't neglect to regularly trim trees, and don't wait until a storm is approaching because you may find that yard work has a way of piling up.

The sad thing is that I've seen a lot of homes with yards like that and there was no storm involved.  lol

Wow, that is a really big pile of branches.  We trimmed away from our air conditioner yesterday, but the pile is not as big as yours!  Things really have a way of getting out of control down here and a soon as it is cut back a week or two later never looks like it was trimmed!

It's a good thing when yard work piles up as you have it piled up.. :)  you're ready for it to be picked up.

Good advice.  And I'm grateful that I now live in CA, and we don't have hurricanes!  I remember Florida.

Laura, that's so true. Most people forget about trimming the dead wood out of trees and shrubs.  A strong wind that blows a heavy limb onto a roof can really do some damage even if it's not during a hurricane.

You are right on target! There is always something to do when you own a house and it is best to stay on top of it!
